Blalock Imaging was founded in January, 2003, by Dawnn, Elven and Robb Blalock and Mike Koch. We had worked for Dixie Color Lab a combined total of nearly 75 years when Dixie closed in December, 2002.

Our experience with Dixie taught us not just the technical aspects of traditional and digital photo production, but we learned to love the old family photos people brought in for restoration and reproduction. It doesn’t take a great leap of imagination to understand that the images taken today will be the treasured, ‘old family photos’ of future generations.

At Blalock Imaging, we realize that every image we handle represents a piece of personal history for someone, and we treat those images with the same respect and careful attention we give our own photos.

Professional photographers succeed or fail based on the quality of the images they sell - it’s the lab’s responsibility to ensure that they output the best image possible from the source material - we’re happy to accept that responsibility, and believe our relationship with all our clients is a partnership, and not just a vendor-customer one.
