Professional Standards, Quality and Service

Photo Restoration is the process of taking a faded, cracked, torn or discolored photogragh and reproducing it with these flaws corrected. As much as possible, the image is made to look as it appeared when new. Not all images can be fully restored, but most can be improved. By using digital methods, the texture of the original photograph is preserved, enabling us to produce the most accurate reproduction possible. Although digital methods are used, the computer and software are merely the tools we use in place of airbrush and pencils. The final image is only achieved by hours of meticulous and painstaking work by our artists, and not the result of the push of a button. Our standards for quality are exceedingly high, and we will decline any job if we feel we cannot produce an image you will be pleased with. We invite you visit our restoration gallery to view more samples of our superior restoration service by clicking on the gallery door on the lower left.

This lovely miniature was too fragile to unframe and scan, so we photographed it in the frame. Because the frame added to the ambience of the image, we kept it in the image, and added a brown velvet background to the final print. Mouse-over the image to see our restoration.
