Special Effects give us the opportunity to create artwork pieces from our photographs. Thanks to all the creative geeks out there who design hardware and software, the means to provide special effect images is no longer restricted to media moguls and advertising giants. Some techniques are quite complex, and require hands-on effort by the artist to achieve an optimum effect. Others are more automated, and require little more than a few keystrokes and processing time. For this reason, pricing for the some of the effects may vary. Some special effects can be combined with others to produce even more variations. As Elven is fond of saying, the good news is that there are virtually unlimited possibilities. The bad news is, there are virtually unlimited possibilities... (You would understand why that was bad news if you found yourself sitting in front of a computer at 3am, and realized you’d been ‘playing’ with the same image since 8 the night before...)
